I loved the urgent, hallucinatory, rambling feel of the narrator’s memories- reminiscent of Barbara Comyns’ “Sisters by a River,” another one of my favourite books. Her work in English drifted out of print.

I truly feel like much of it’s magic was lost in translation. She has won a number of awards for her works, and has taught at universities such as Georgetown University, Columbia University and New York University NYUas well as at universities in nearly a dozen other countries.
