Another static Coelho element here was his tendency to treat his readers as though they are utterly stupid.

I might try something else from his collection in the future though. Unfortunately it gave a primitive and lazy answer in the conclusion. Excellent book I like that it was,what I wanted very good and inrtesting book.

While this itself is no reason to prevent an author from studying the fundamental of human nature, one would expect a new angle or at least weorita depth. I cannot count the times I wanted to hurl the book against the wall in frustration. But it is entirely worthless. You can feel the author holding the spoon to your lips.

I’m going to be honest I think it was the atmosphere created that deterred me from finishingbut I cannot articulate exactly what that was and why I didn’t like it. The book pfym have been a little 25 pages booklet and we would have had the same result.

It just didn’t seem to fit my mood. With one-dimensional, boring characters you’ll struggle to care about, a predictable plot, and too many pretentious paragraphs I’m sure are quoted in thousands of Twitter bios, it’s a sad little musing that could have had a real impact. I was hoping to find at the very least interesting language or memorable characters. The only thing that stopped me was that it was an e-book and I wouldn’t want to damage my faithful e-reader.
During this experience Paulo Coelho launched his blog Walking the Path – The Pilgrimage in order to share with his readers his impressions. I just felt like I was reading Aesop’s Fables and that I’d read it before.
Those are two perfect words for this book. Refresh and try again. In this volume, Coelho takes it upon himself to pontificate on the essence of good and evil, morality, and the human condition.
I might try something else from his collection in the future though. I realy lik it, I do recomended to other readers who like demonoo grow and learn new ways of seeing thing in life. I could not read The Devil and Miss Prym as a morality play or an allegory, just because the conflict has been in use for centuries.
I was disappointed, but not surprised, at seeing Coelho again seoritw and discredit his female characters.

We aren’t allowed to interpret things for ourselves; he spells everything out clearly for us as though he’s the only man in the world who can understand a bit of basic philosophy.
