Civil Rights

The United States was founded as a nation that placed high importance on individual freedom and liberties while limiting the size and scope of government. We need to return to those roots.

The 13th Amendment to the Constitution finally righted our greatest failure as a nation. The years since though have seen a steady decline and erosion of our rights as the government grew increasingly powerful. Of the Bill of Rights, only the 3rd Amendment has been allowed to stand. The others are all infringed, ignored, or completely gutted.

Our government needs to be trimmed back to a size that fits inside the constitution. Eliminate warrantless searches and seizures. Eliminate civil asset forfeiture. No more interference with speech or religion. No infringements on the right to protect yourself.

The smallest minority is the individual. By protecting the rights of the individual, we protect the rights of everyone.
